QR Luggage Tags

QR Luggage Tags is an idea in motion built around a practical premise: baggage tracking should be easier, cheaper, and more transparent for travellers and operators. The concept explores whether robust QR-based tags, paired with the right software and operational processes, could create a more accessible tracking layer for airline luggage, rail luggage, and other bags moving through complex transit systems.

For XYZ, a division of Formation GmbH, this is the kind of venture that may be pursued independently or with partners across mobility, travel, logistics, insurance, or infrastructure. The ambition is not just a tag itself, but a whole service model around identity, scan events, passenger visibility, operator workflows, and exception handling when bags are delayed, rerouted, or lost.

This is also the sort of concept that benefits from research spikes and early pilots. We may work with specialist researchers, transport operators, hardware partners, or product teams to test usability, durability, adoption barriers, and commercial fit. If the results are strong, the idea could evolve into a dedicated venture or spin-out business in its own right.
